I had been abroad with my young children and just a day before flying back, I had a traumatic injury to my leg resulting in emergency surgery. On our return to UK, I called surgery to inform this. My GP Dr Thomson visited me at home same day, as I was not mobile. He was extremely understanding of what we went through as family. He arranged after-care very quickly and efficiently. He made urgent referral to Ortho clinic, arranged patient transport, prescriptions, etc. I found him very professional, caring and empathic. After the injury and managing to bring children home safely, a big worry was lightened by the care provided by Dr Thomson and staff at Brookside (West Wight) Health Centre.
