Broad Lane surgery has a very calming atmosphere and I am always pleasantly welcomed by reception staff. Doctor Rashid has been my doctor for 9 years now. I actually moved to Broad Lane surgery when she started there to continue being her patient because she is so good. She has always been an exceptional doctor both for my physical and mental health. She is always professional and thorough, but as well as this she makes me feel cared for and listened to. She talks everything through with me and I have never felt rushed. I feel so lucky to have such an amazing doctor. She has taken incredible care of me particularly in the past two years and I honestly would have been lost without her and I can’t thank her enough.

Dr Rashid always really listens and works hard to find a solution!

The only issue I have is about waiting times to get an appointment because it’s often over 3 weeks and typically I’ve waited several weeks with an issue before I know it’s serious enough to merit making an appointment. My appointment was to deal with my depression and anxiety which I was really riddled with in February and March. When I booked the appointment I was hoping to go back on medication that I’ve taken off and on for almost 10 years. By the time the appointment came around I didn’t feel like I was in the dire place anymore. So the delay really didn’t allow for targeting and resolving the problem in the moment in which I was most in need.

The appointment was with Dr Rashid and a medical student. The medical student was asked to take the lead and was skilfully supported by Dr Rashid. The care, attention and expertise were very evident. A very reassuring experience.
