Written by a patient
25th February 2017

My husband was diagnosed with cancer of the colon just over two years ago. He died on the 8th February after his cancer spread to many other organs. He already suffered with serious heart problems. Although he spent the lot of time in the hospital, Dr Richards followed and monitored his progress diligently, with great compassion, always ready to help with hospital difficulties, home visits and organising end of life care. He was here the day my husband died. He is a wonderful GP, as is Dr Marshall-Andrews, and the whole support staff of the practice, where I am also a patient. I cannot praise them or thank them enough, and especially Dr Richards who so eased my husband's struggles with his sad end. They are shining examples of dedicated people looking after the health of their patients, often against great odds. Mr Hunt should take note. I thank them again.
