Insisted incorrectly that a blood test was a urine test by receptionist despite having the request in hands. Can NEVER get an appointment unless prepared to wait 3-4 weeks or call at 8.30am on the off chance of getting an emergency. No follow up after blood tests and always feel rushed and not listened to during appointments.
My family are currently looking to move.
Only good thing is the nurses have a lovely sense of humour and the smoking clinic is awesome.
it is extremely difficult to get an appointment with a doctor who might understand the extreme pain I suffer every day ,in march this year I went to see a heart doctor at east surrey hospital , after a week I thought I would be sent an appointment in a letter ,but no letter ever arrived ,surely the surgery would have had a letter from the doctor I saw.
I have always been able to get an appointment when needed.
I am very grateful for the excellent care and attention I have received.
I had an appointment with Dr Marshall today at Bridge Medical Centre. I am furious! My appointment was at 5pm. I was running late due to my train being delayed, hence I called the receptionist and informed her that I will be a little late. She told me that I am the GP's last patient to be seen and if I can make it to the GP surgery for 5.10pm then Dr Marshall will see me otherwise she will have to leave. So, once I reached Three Bridges station at 5.03pm, I ran to the practice and made it for 5.10pm. Once I got there, the receptionist told me that she has already left!!!! This was so ridiculous and rude.
Despite knowing that I had blood in my sputum since the past 4 days, which is not a good sign at all, the doctor just packs up her bags and leaves even though the patient was told to make it for 5.10pm! There was no need to make me rush and be so short of breath when I'm ill if she wasn't going to be there in the first place! I understand that I did not make it in time for my original appointment, however if she really cared about her patient's health she would stay behind and see me before going home. Previously, my family members and myself have had to wait from 30 mins to an hour to be seen at this GP practice even when turning up on time to our designated slot. It's okay for them to delay but they can't stay behind for a patient who is worried about her health! Will definitely not be making an appointment with this doctor again and I do not think the practice should hire doctors who work by the clock.
On a good note, thank you to Dr Babu Hussain for staying behind and seeing me after all his patients. I had to wait a long time to see him but at least he was happy to give me the time and take into account my concerns unlike the other doctor. I was really not impressed initially but thanks to him I was satisfied and my questions were answered.
I would just like to thank the receptionist who helped me as I had forgotten my details for using the online facilities. I had been up since very early this morning for work but she helped me by explaining what I had to do.
The reception staff are always very helpful.
So thank you
