Called to cancel a travel vaccination appointment for my partner but maintain my own. I had already paid £25 each as a deposit. After finally getting through to the surgery, an abrupt person on the phone told me that she wouldn't refund it. It wasn't as though I was inconveniencing them, as I was still coming in for the appointment. All I was hoping for was a bit of empathy. Not everything should be in black and white. No wonder these jobs will by automated in 10 years time.
Doesn't help that they have a two hour lunch break when they turn off the phones.
