Having moved from Beckenham to Birchington some 11 years ago we have been registered at BMC. We have experienced many changes to the service we have received in this time some of which were more favourable than others, (naturally). Overall we would both agree that on the whole we had received treatment including referral onward to specialist care such as hospitals in Kent, to be exemplary. With the growing numbers of ageing population (such as we are) presenting at the Centre we appreciate the strains that this must put upon the front-line staff and practitioners. However we believe that we are very fortunate indeed to have such a facility in the village and wish to whole heartedly register our gratitude and appreciation to all who work at the Centre. Price  I came down with a letter sent to me from the Radiology Dept. at the QEGM requesting a blood test before I can have a CT scan. I was told that if I waited 40 minutes I could have this done today. I really thought that I would have to wait a few weeks  as this request was by the hospital and not by my GP. I think that the service I got by BMC was as always exceptional. I have also posted on facebook what grand job your staff do. Thanks to the NHS prevention  team I have less fear of bowl cancer. many thanks to your team Alan Green.

I experienced a fantastic service with this practice. Reading other reviews, people seem to have the perception that waiting times and being unable to get an appointment straight away is just the fault of the surgery. I feel however that if you look at the bigger picture, the whole of the NHS are experiencing these issues. If your appointment is not a genuine emergency then you will have to wait for an appointment and this is surely to be expected? I found the young man on reception very helpful, both on the phone and in person and he ensured my whole patient experience was professional and as easy as can be, ensuring I was followed up with a phone call and booked in. I cannot thank the hardworking team enough for the work they do at this practice. . Well done and keep up the good work.

Very rude reception staff who were unprofessional, uncaring and not helpful. I was offered an appointment and then had it cancelled because the receptionist felt I didn't 'deserve it and wasn't humble' enough. I had a poorly son and was very upset by our treatment. I have always received excellent health care from the NHS but was disgusted by the service offered at the Birchington Health Centre.

Bloods taken today by the most gentle and kind HCA. I hardly felt a thing and you totally put me at ease. Thank you.
