My husband was diagnosed with heart failure 3 years ago and the care and attention he has received has been fantastic. The reception staff have been so great I can’t praise them enough. All the doctors have took time and care with him. Especially Doctor Malik who told him about the diagnosis in the first place. We laugh because they are so on top of his problems he hardly goes a week without a call. I think they are all great

Having recovered from heart surgery I was required to have sutures removed and I was told by the GP surgery to go to a local A&E department. Due to Covid concerns I was not happy to attend and wait in a hospital A&E as I was in the vulnerable group . I checked online and most hospitals were saying they would only see emergency patients. It took most of the day for me to explain my situation to the GP surgery and eventually at 4:30pm I was able to go and see the practice nurse who removed the sutures in 5 minutes. I was able to make lots of phone calls and search the internet to inform me but I was exhausted and found the stress and frustration unacceptable. There has not been any evidence of patient care from this practice and in the current pandemic I find this shocking. The surgery recorded message is unhelpful and takes ages to connect to speak to someone.

Consideration for others would be a good starting point. People contact the surgery for help or advice, not to be treated and dismissed as though they are a nuisance.

I find this surgery appalling. When I rang to get my just turned 2 year old daughter a appointment as she had a temperature of over 102 and had been sick I was told that the next available appointment was in 2 weeks time. When I explained her symptom to the receptionist she was quite rude and just said ' well there's nothing I can do for another two weeks. If you are concerned you can take her to a and e or the walk in clinic at queen Mary's'. I though we were meant to be taking the pressure off the hospitals not to be encouraged to clog it up even more. I then rang a week later to get an appointment for my partner to be told it is still a two week waiting list. I find the receptionists at both surgery a rude and often unhelpful.
