An appointment was made for my daughter’s annual health check, this was made well over a month ago although 3 months out of date.
The morning before the appointment she was sent a message saying that her appointment was going to be moved at this point she had a meltdown, I sent a message asking them to be aware that she has Autism and change causes anxiety and in turn can cause a seizure. The receptionist responded by leaving us at the surgery that she is familiar with although a different time which I can manage with supporting her.
At the appointment which was over 30 minutes late, the doctor went over her meds. She tried to dismiss us, I then asked her was she going to do blood pressure etc, she stated it’s only a med check. I explained that it was her annual health check, she stated that she hadn’t been told this but would expect that for even a med check for certain meds this would require certain health checks to be done? She did do them and explained that she would call us later as she didn’t have enough time to ask other questions, the original appointment was a double appointment! She did call later that afternoon.
Unfortunately and sadly for us this has been the final issue and we have decided to move to another surgery. We have stayed as our daughter needs continuity but feel after her having a major health scare and this being dismissed we can’t stay here any longer.

Unfortunately there are too many people in the area and healthcare suffers. I don’t know what the answer is but the Surgery is struggling with making appointments.
Dear Patient - Thank you for taking the time to send this review - your comments are very welcomed. As my surgery is Patford House, generally my appointments at Beversbrook are managed by them, who are extremely helpful and efficient.
Dear Patient - Thank you so much for this positive review - it is most welcomed and appreciated. Best wishes - Julie Taylor - Operations Manager
I have been under Ahilan for the last couple of weeks with my Mental health and he has been great and supportive with getting me back on track. He made sure I was involved with my care and any decisions that needed to be made.
I know he is only a message away and will reply as soon as he can.
Dear Patient - Thank you so much for this mostly positive review - I will be sure to share it with Dr Ahilian. Your communications messaged is also noted and will be shared with our team. Many thanks - Julie Taylor - Operations Manager
On several occasions when I have arrived for my appointments I have been told that the appointment is at a different surgery to the one I was advised when I booked the appointment. The first few times I thought it was my mistake, but since this continued to happen I take careful note of where the appointment is located.
At the time of booking, I double checked with the receptionist on the phone, wrote the location in my notebook and diary immediately. Once again on this occasion - at least the third time since I started being careful - I arrived and the receptionist told me a different surgery to when I booked.
I cannot be the only patient experiencing this, arriving to the appointment as instructed only to be told the computer has the appointment at a different location.
I insisted to the receptionist that I had been told the appointment was a beversbrook. She was helpful and a nurse managed to squeeze us in.
On a previous occasion I was told that if I didn't make it across town with twin toddlers in time for the original appointment it would be marked on my record as none attendance.
This continuing mistake by the surgery is stressful and inconvenient. I resent being blamed for the surgery's mistake.
I agree with other reviews that the organisation of Beversbrook has deteriorated since it joined the Platform house partnership.
Dear Patient - Thank you for taking the time to write this review and we are of course sorry to hear of your dissatisfaction. You points about confirming clearly the location is noted and the importance of this will be re-iterated to our team. If you would like to discuss this further please do feel free to contact me direct on julie.taylor167@nhs.net. Best wishes - Julie Taylor - Operations Manager & Complaints Lead
