Went to book a flu jab as phone was never answered and was told i was no longer eligible even though i have had asthma since 2000. I queried this and told criteria changed this year. I was not told this. I also have heart issues and epilepsy. I have waited and waited for an asthma review this year but trying to get an appointment at this med centre is ridiculous.

Hello there, I am sorry to hear that you have been having problems getting an appointment. This is unusual as we do have lots of options for you to come in and see our team of nurses who can help you. We also have a Pharmacist and a Specialist Practitioner (paramedic) who can also assist you in looking after your health as well. You may be interested to know that you can have direct access to our Asthma Nurse through your Systm Online account, so can send her a message regarding any queries you may have around managing your long term conditions. I wonder if you would be so kind as to contact me at emmybutcher@nhs.net and I will be more than happy to assist you to make sure that you get the best possible service and ease of access to our clinicians. We can even arrange for you to visit us here at the Surgery, where you can use our free patient wifi and our skilled IT team to assist you in setting up Systm Online on your smart phone or tablet.
