Even if you call at 8am for an appointment you've been told by them to make, the chances of getting an appointment are extremely low. I waited almost 90 minutes on hold for someone to answer, only to be told all appointments were filled. You have to select an option when you start the call which indicates you'd like to book an appointment. Why does a message play when they are all filled? If you are lucky enough to book an appointment, later they also claim in notes that they have contacted you with test results when they haven't and fail to record notes from telephone appointments that did take place. Some of the people that answer the phone are also extremely rude and abrupt and shouldn't be allowed to speak to patients who may be extremely worried about their own or a loved one's medical condition
Been a patient here for over 20 years now and have seen this surgery drastically go down hill over the last 5. The doctors are fine if you ever get to see one. Trying to make an appointment is near on impossible,
The last time i tried to get an appointment i rung continually from 8-10 only to be told all appointments were taken.
I have e mailed them with a query over the covid vaccination as they seem to be behind every other surgery in the town and haven't had a reply . Such a shame that a great doctors surgery has gone downhill so quickly.
Have been hassled for last three months by this surgery to come and see them about diabetes, I am not under them I am under hospital been there 47 years told them that. Was called today, ordered to come down. Have had gastroenteritis since xmas day, have bruised ribs, inflamed stomach, burnt throat, that's why not made appointment. Was told you only had sickness for a week. I still can't eat walk properly hard drive hurts breathe that's why not been. So unless I go o to sort this out they won't give me my insulin needles I need to stay alive. The people in back room have habit of thinking they are medically qualified. They're not!! I have disabilities no one can see, it,s hard to breathe, hard to walk, in lot pain every second of every day, and that's when I'm not ill, so you can imagine how hard it is when I am ill. All I needed was bit time get better. But they can't even give me that. It is disgusting how some of the staff treat the patients. Young man on front desk and couple of ladies are fabulous. Very polite and helpful. I try to see doctors that know me, cause new ones don't understand me. Doctors are great have helped me out loads times when struggling breathe etc. Asthma nurse called me a liar, swapped me over to cheaper inhaler didn't work. She told me hang on to old one just incase but I had run out so tried get some. Was denied it. Was told nurse had never said hang onto old one case it doesn't work. So basically called me a liar. Am on old one now as couldn't breathe on new on. So wont go back see her. Was disgusted how was treated. Know they have loads patients struggle cope but some of them let the surgery down. Which is a shame cause they all work hard.
No consistency, Doctors always leaving / moving.
Impossible to get an appointment.
As for reception staff, they should all be given their marching orders. Very rude, loud, non caring and certainly not medically trained (but they think they are).
I’ve been at this surgery for 60 years. Now joined a new surgery - should have done it years before.
The doctors here are good but it’s almost impossible to get an appointment. Not only that the receptionists are extremely rude and don’t have any tact in dealing with confidential information. The reception area is located in the waiting room so anything they say can be heard by everyone, yet they will loudly give out your information when speaking to you over the phone. “Hello is that Mr/Mrs NAME we need to talk to you about your CONDITION” If you ever need to go there for anything private you have no chance of it staying that way. The whole surgery will hear about it.
