They all do their best
Today I spoke to a very unhelpful practice manager, Tracey. Who didn’t want to listen to my worry/concern for my daughter. She refused to talk to be because my daughter is 19. Tracey wanted my daughters consent. I passed the phone to my very poorly child, who has been waiting since Tuesday to hear back from the doctor, only for Tracey to tell her off and say she didn’t deal with complaints on the phone. She Told my daughter a doctor would call within 30 minutes and proceeded to put the phone down. I hadn’t finished my conversation with Tracey?!?! Very rude and not professional. My family will be finding an alternative surgery.
Appointment made without any difficulty. There is a large pay-and-display car park adjacent so no parking problems.
Staff were friendly at reception and I was seen promptly. The lady who gave me my scan was charming and very informative about the process.
All in all I was completely happy with my treatment at this surgery.
I was given a 10.00am appointment with Dr Nimmo. When I arrived there were four others booked in for that time but none of them had been recorded and Dr Nimmo was not in the surgery. Nothing was done and no new appointments were given, disgusting treatment.
The service is great, you do have to call 08:30 in the morning to get a book on day, otherwise you can get an appointment for a couple weeks in advance. This is the same as most surgeries in the United Kingdom. Some surgeries can only get a telephone call in a few weeks time and don't have book on days. Once booked in for an appointment, all Dr's, nurses and receptionists are extremely helpful and accommodating. The constraints surrounding appointments do not come from the surgeries themselves but from the rules and regulations of governing bodies. Definitely one of the best surgeries in Plymouth.
