Firstly I visited the surgery 27/1/2016 my son was suffering from an ear infection we arrived early but waited 45 mins over appointment due time and I chased reception on 2 occasions without success and it's as if no one knows what going on . Eventually we saw the doctor she said she had an emergency and was quite abuptly said but 3 other went in before my son. Patients should be updated if there is going to be delays as was not a good service at all. We have experience very poor service as a family over the last few weeks. My mom also had to call the surgery and asked for a call back from a doctor last Friday she chased twice that day and to date she is still waiting!!!!!!! I have been with this practice since I was born and I feel the service is appalling. And we are reviewing an alternative. Very disatisfied .

I went to Pat for a blood test and as old as I am, I still fear needles. She made me feel so at home and so comfortable. What I noticed in particular was that she went out of her way to be pleasant and to ensure my comfort. Not many do that, most simply do their job with minimum effort. She went over and beyond, for which I thanked her. She thought it was simply part of her job and I told her I wished most thought that way. I also told her that I thought it was my job to show my appreciation and thank those who go beyond their job description to create a better experience. To me that shows passion which I think most have lost nowadays which is a shame. Pat was very refreshing indeed! Well done Pat!

Trying to book an appointment here is an absolute joke! Forget trying to ring on the day because by 9:30am, the appointments that day have all been booked up. I know the surgery offer internet bookings but I have never gone online and found an internet appointment for that day so that's no help at all. The online booking system is a great idea if you know you want to speak with a doctor and plan an appointment. If you are ill on the day, you HAVE to go down to the surgery and wait until 9am to make your appointment with the receptionist, even though it opens at 8am!!!! I would like to suggest taking future appointments over the phone for alternative days as this would please so many patients. The receptionists are fine, but I feel they lack good customer service. They don't go out of their way to help you. In the past, I had to have an over the phone consultation which I think is disgusting - bearing in mind I needed to physically see the doctor about an issue and the staff explained that this is all they could do. I had to leave work and go down to the surgery and I demanded to be seen by a doctor. Low and behold, they 'squeezed' me in! If they just did this in the first place, you would have a lot more happy patients. I appreciate the staff have a lot to deal with but I would like to see some improvements fast as I have been contemplating moving surgeries.

I must admit I'm not a big fan of the fact I have to ring at 9.00a.m. to get an appointment or go to the surgery at 8.30. But that's the way the surgery works.!! Always redial numerous times to get through, upto 50 times, and have been told in the past that all appointments have been taken. Very frustrating. Luckily though, this is not a regular occurence. Today it took me 30+ attempts to get though and was given an early appointment with my chosen Doctor. I was seen before my appointment time and was made to feel at ease and not rushed.
