I pre booked a GP appointment 2 weeks prior to consultation with DR Glew. I had to wait nearly an hour to be seen. Dr Glew had a medical student with him and the attention I received was good. The consultation was compromised because there were too many patients slotted into the morning surgery and 10 minute consultation is too short. Dr Glew is a first class doctor and I feel the medical student was given little time whilst I was there to gain meaningful clinical experience.
I rarely need to see a doctor and I am unhappy that the GP service is so restricted .I understand emergencies arise but no explanation was given for the overlong waiting time. If I pre book a GP appointment I expect to be seen as arranged, a10 minute wait is acceptable.

We are really happy that you were pleased with our service and apologise you were kept waiting longer than you felt acceptable without explanation. Sometimes surgeries can run late if an unforeseen emergency arises, however we do not 'slot' extra patients into our planned surgeries. Each patient is allotted a 10 minute contracted slot. It does happen that a patient may need more than 10 minutes, which will make the clinic run late.
