It isn't the doctors or the admin staff I have a problem with its the difficulty getting an appointment. Because it is so time consuming trying on the telephone, I registered online. It worked a couple of times then didn't recognise my (unchanged) login so I renewed it. This happened more than once, so I resorterd to the telephone again. After waiting for all the recorded messages to finish it ended by saying can't answer the 'phone at the moment ring back when the lines are less busy. I had rung at around 11.00-12.00pm. It's never less busy. As my call was also prescription related I called again and pressed 3 for prescriptions. After 22+ minutes the receptionist answered and said she couldn't deal with the request as I needed to see a doctor and she couldn't transfer me therefore I should ring to make an appointment. I explained I had already tried, I couldn't do it online and as I was incapacitated I couldn't get to the surgery either. So I was asked to ring again after 2pm. I've got to the stage whereby if I am unwell, I try ride it out, self medicate and do anything rather than go through that rigmarole each time. I've never been a time waster or a hypochondriac so when I request an appointment it's because I need one.

needs to shorten time for appointments, and time waiting on the phone.

THANKYOU to the staff at Audley Mills Doctors Surgery who once again pulled out all the stops for me when I attended having a severe asthma attack yesterday morning.. from Sue Francis finding a gap that didn’t exist in a fully booked diary, receptionists running to bring me water and alerting doctors to the emergency, the swift action of Practice Nurse Lucy Davidson getting me straight on the nebuliser and Dr Genthe for dropping everyone and everything to attend to me immediately ... all of which avoided a stay in hospital for me over Easter .... THANKYOU ....and THANKYOU to any patients whose appointments were disrupted or delayed because of their swift action to offer me the emergency treatment I needed and received...this Audley Mills patient is extremely grateful to all

There are a number of ways you can get an appointment. I choose the online service. The GPs I have seen have seen have always been approachable despite the pressures they are under with the numbers of patients they deal with. Audley Mills provides a great service
