How can I be first in the telephone queue for over 25 min???

Test result abnormal - not contacted no repeat tests which have admitted should have happened. Cannot explain why nothing was done. Shame Dr McHugh has retired - good old fashioned GP who actively cared for patients and built a relationship with them ( as well as keeping the practice in check…) as too did her colleague Dr Borkett Jones who was taken too soon.

Shocked to overhear a doctor complain that they were seeing a lot of people in person, querying why patients did not have telephone appointments and asked receptionists to look into it. ( really????) The receptionists were damning towards a colleague …however surely doctors (especially GP’s) should be the first port of call in minor cases. I get the impression that they don’t want to see patients at all and would prefer that we left them alone as we are a bother…no care no person centred approach….

This surgery delivers a great vaccine program at the expense of struggling other routine GP services. Everything else suffers whilst they accumulate financial gains from vaccines. Phones remain unanswered, part time doctors deliver a half hearted phone consultation, the senior GP seems uninterested in ensuring a through care and concern. Sorry, this surgery should be stopped from delivering a vaccine program

You need more full time doctors to deliver a more thorough GP service. You need to pick up calls. You need to stop concentrating on vaccines only.

My husband and I went to Attenborough early this morning for our COVID booster and ‘flu vaccination. The lady doctor was patronising and seemed too rushed and not paying attention, It was a complete mess compared to the mass vaccination earlier this year. The politeness had gone down the hill. My arm was not wiped with alcohol prior to the vaccination and I haven’t a clue as to what I was given and nor has my husband. Did we have an Astro Zeneca boost or did we have a Pfizer boost. What were we given. No one told us anything.The doctor made us leave and bought the next patient in. It was a very poor and unprofessional show with total disregard to our welfare. It may be that the computer has a record but the lady operating it was on her first day and also didn’t have much of a clue as to what was going on. We are very distressed at our treatment.

From the beginning the lady doctor has to treat every patient with care and this most certainly was not done. We are all having a difficult time - we understand that fully - but to show a little bit more sensitivity and kindness costs nothing.
