I have been with this practice for about 30 years and have always found them to be excellent in their patient care. I find all the staff and Doctors extremely helpful and they have sorted issues for me many times if I have not managed my medicines properly. They are very accommodating, knowledgeable and compassionate.

This is by far the best GP practice we have ever been registered at. I don’t understand the negative comments, I have only had an outstanding, caring and professional experience from all of the staff. Keep up the good work.

I feel exactly the same as the patient in November last year, there is no one willing to listen, if a prescription is missing you get nothing but excuses, this has happened 3 times to me in a 6th month period. I believe the reception staff should not have to look at your health records and print off a prescription or give you your results whether it's blood or hospital related such as a scan/ ultrasound, they are not the doctor nor are they paid by the government as there patient we pay for the doctor not a receptionist. I also agree staff at reception should not put the phone down on you when they don't, like what you say such as and I Quote, ( Madam I don't, like your tone ) and down goes the phone even although you just want to ask where is your prescription you ordered 5days ago. When I enquired why staff do this I was told they are entitled to protect staff from abuse even when you explain there has been no abuse. What about the protection of patients? We have no say whatsoever they don't, want to work Saturdays now and never mind the patients, they are paid to care for it is all about the doctors, and the staff. Not a good surgery to attend, no one bothers, I am at the end of my tether I have had to approach my local M P to sit in an interview with me, but the doctor was going on holiday that week day so I'm, still waiting for a reply. Where would we be if all medical staff at the hospitals only worked part time and no weekends, that is why the N H S is in deep trouble. All my life I have worked and payed into the N H S and I am now at an age I need them only to find they ( at my surgery ) don't, seem to exist.

there is too much responsibility put on the receptionists, dr. merrilees has retired another full time doctor down, staff are only too willing to put the phone down on patients, if they don,t like what you have to say and although you are not aggressive in any way they don,t want to listen. the prescription phone line is an utter disaster and very worrying when left wondering if you will get your pre ordered prescription, and indeed what you ordered or not. not enough doctors per patient care nothing being done about this. hand this practice back to the NHS.

It's a standard, pebble-board and cobble-stone rural practice situated in a government building on the backdrop of seemingly mid-nowhere. Where efficiency is indeed an expectation fulfilled well, it's to the detriment of care standards, which are abysmal at best.
