This used to be a great Practice but not any more. I have experienced rude and unprofessional Doctors, long waiting times to see my Doctor, bad and inept diagnosis of my problems the list goes on. Reception is brilliant and they always do their best.
Medication has been issued which has impacted on my long term health. When I have been diagnosed with a particular problem and asked for help and treatment then this has been refused despite debilitating symptoms. I have lost confidence in this Practice which is a shame because I have used this Surgery for over 30 years. Wherever possible I now research my condition and treat myself.

I am absolutely livid. I have just called the Carnforth surgery to book an appointment for my 7 month old daughter, I was RUDLEY told by Karen how she can’t book me an appointment and I have to call in the morning, no. I am away for the long weekend now and will not be able to call for an appointment. I requested to see if I could book an appointment in advance to be shot down and advised I would be waiting weeks. Karen then abruptly told me call again in the morning okay bye.
This is an utter joke, I can’t get an appointment with my doctor and if I call in the morning I can get with a nurse. No. Absolutely ridiculous. There is such a spotlight on people abusing A&E and being advised to book in with their doctors and Ashtrees Surgery is making this impossible. It’s utterly disgusting and even worse that I can’t even move surgery’s. Horrific.

Dr Knox is a very patronising man. He says conflicting instructions and can be very misleading.

The staff are helpful and great news to hear about the late clinic on Mondays, very helpful for a working parent who dislikes taking time off work and children out of school for non-urgent appointments. Thank you.
