I think im going to have a bad experience with them, but it’s not them its the endocrinologist at the Pru im just given whos making changes that i dont want and leaving in 3 weeks, it’s Christmas in 3 weeks, but she did write me in to her replacements diary for an appointment in 5 months. It’s a shame because i have really complex mental health needs (a diagnosis a kin of bipolar and schitzophrenia) and i need this medication to stay the same. In regards to Addington road, they find me words when i have none (The reception staff and drs), they are polite when im frustrated, they want to fix things genuinely, they invite me in their life enough to feel valued (thankyou) and tbh, my advice time after time is to trust them, %90 of the time they pull something out of the hat.
The DRs are hardworking, professional, kind, talented and they beleive in something, they had have maybe a vision, the centre has treatment rooms and id love to see an extension with an attached physio, scanner or more procedure rooms,,,, a mini hospital.
There’s a library now.
I do get impressed by the drs quite frequently, they know their onions, they are humble but skilled, polite yet firm, and hounest, i also have a spinal chord injury and i have to say they are great for mental health when you can’t face the psychiatrists/their team as they get so much wrong. Addington road is mostly restorative and refreshing and due to a large solid core of people.
The building is clean, nurses are very good, parking ample for blue badge.
Well done to you. Be proud, but dont fall!
This awful surgery just continues to get worse. Unable to get through on the phone, no online appointments available, and no e-consult availability unless you're able to jump on at 8am as they have a daily quota of how many online enquiries they'll accept. Yesterday it was reached before 9am.
They either need more doctors or fewer patients as they are clearly unable to provide basic health care for the number of people that are registered with them. Dealing with Addington Road surgery is an incredibly frustrating and off-putting experience. Pray you never get ill.
There are never any appointments available for online booking; it has an e-consult online enquiry service that now only accepts enquiries during opening hours; you can only phone for test results after 2.30pm; if you do try to phone don't be surprised to be kept on hold for 30 minutes (despite being "caller number one in the queue") and then cut off without warning.
They communicate with text messages from a number that won't allow a reply, they refuse to allow visitors without an appointment, and will not acknowledge or reply to an old-fashioned letter delivered by hand.
Addington Road Surgery couldn't make it harder access its services if it tried. Absolutely awful.
Very helpful but waiting for someone to answer phone to make appt sometimes takes over twenty minutes, also when asked to search on line for different things if your elderly can be quite difficult.
