This is a great GP practice. The GP’s are all approachable ,knowledgeable and kind .
They reception staff are helpful and the phlebotomist is great .I feel lucky to have Acorn as my GP surgery.
It is almost impossible to get an appointment at this clinic! They have changed their system from calling at 8:30 to get an appointment on the day to calling at 8:30 to get a doctor to call you back on the day.
Needless to say, 2 days and 3 phone calls later, I'm still waiting for Dr Harrington to call me back.
Hopeless. Go elsewhere I'd say.
Trying to get an appointment is a nightmare, even if you call up first thing in the morning by the time you get through all on the day appointments have gone.
The lack of appointments in the surgery is very disappointing.
Certain receptionists are blunt, abrupt and to be quite honest very rude!
Despite providing clear instructions to have an appointment with a specific doctor months ago - I knew there would be a long waiting list so planned it in advance and organised care at home. However, I’ve now been told that I am seeing a completely different doctor and been told that I will have to go to the back of the waiting list to see the doctor I originally made the request to see.
Very disappointed by the lack of communication about changes in the doctor as it has impacted on my childcare. I work in the NHS and would have expected some common courtesy towards a fellow NHS worker.
