I find the staff at the reception arrogant and positively obtuse when they are dealing with my wife, while she tries to explain one of our children needs to see a doctor. Quite often the reception staff tell her she needs to contact a optician or dentist or call back tomorrow to see if she can get an appointment for a doctor. On one occasion, they threatened to report her to social services, this was for not taking our child to a pre-arranged appointment !!! It turned out after a lengthy debate with my wife, the receptionist had phoned the wrong mum and the wrong child. I can only presume the practice manager runs the practice in a way they think is, financially efficient for NHS Grampian. One good thing about the practice is, soon many people will leave the area because the medical practice has such a poor reputation now. There is a good chance house prices will fall.

No doctors except locums so you can never see the same doctor twice. No follow up consutations. Getting an appointment in the first place is next to impossable "Sorry we have no appointments left for today." but ask for a home vist and suddenly they can give you an appointment. This is a regular occurance. Have been told a condition doesn't exist. When Portsoy took over the practice fell apart. Repeat prescriptions are cancelled without warning and mistakes in prescriptions happen too often. My family are concidering moving home to recieve better medical care as this practice is sub standard in the the service provided.

I have been a patient for the last 20 years and since it has been taken over from the last doctors by the Portsoy practice I can only describe it as a nightmare except for one doctor who would do their best to help but even they could not put up with the practice and left now I can’t tell you my doctors name because I haven’t got one it changes all the time and you have to explain all the different illnesses you have then they deside to take you off medication which you have be receiving from the hospital then when you become ill again within days they put you back on it saying you need it I feel as I am on a yoyo I have lost all confidence in this practice they make me feel agitated I cannot even be bothered when I am I’ll to phone for a appointment as it just a farce ok if you have the fule or cold but if chronically ill a waste of space
