I was told by my consultant after a major operation that the post op pain would be relieved hugely by regular 6 hourly doses of paracetamol. I could hardly believe that such an everyday medicine could have that effect but he told me it was cumulative. It worked. I am in a lot of pain from a recent accident and I am following the same 6 hourly routine with much success. I Don't think many people are aware of the efficaciousness of paracetamol taken regularly. I Certainly wasn't.

Doesn't work as an analgesic for me.

I found that it was helpful when I was suffering from pain. My doctor suggested it but also insisted that I should only take the recommended dosage. I am sure this is why I had no side affects.
