Pantoprazole
5 reviewsReviews
I was prescribed Pantoprazole by my GP. After 6 months I developed joint pains everywhere and had difficulty walking. On visiting a second GP I was told to stop taking Pantoprazole. After which my joint pains disappeared and I could walk.
Pantoprazole is a very dangerous medicine.
I take these daily first thing at 6am with a full glass of water; I find they can sometimes make you feel like your stomach is a washing machine but in my case without them I pain from my stomach is pretty intense.
I think I've been through all these proton pump inhibitors and this is the best of a bad situation.
They do make me tired but I think my life style it more the culprit here, I started on 40mg and have come down to 20mg now.
Another side effect is the urge to go to the toilet for a number 2; the urge feels like diarrhoea but the reality is constipation where the stool is reasonably soft, again I can live with this.
my miracle drug, so grateful, have been taking for past 6 years a godsend.
this was very effective for stomach pains and acidity but the side effects were terrible. i constantly felt tired and exhausted. i was only on it for a few days but i had to stop, as i could barely walk at one point. i also took omeprazole and lanzaprazole which also helped with the acidity but again very bad side effects. all 3 gave me urine infections and thrush. after finishing a course of 1 month each i had to have several courses of antibiotics and fluconazole. i try to avoid them now.
This medicine has helped to control my stomach acidity/gastric reflux for many years. I take one each morning and have suffered no apparent side effects.
