I was taking ibroprofen for back pain regularly for about a year. In the small print about the side effects it says that it causes ' unusual bleeds' . It did this to me in my eye. A blood clot formed and pressed on the optic nerve which resulted in me losing half the sight on one of my eyes.

Ibuprofen worked for me to relieve joint pain in both knees due to osteoarthritis. It usually takes about 1-2 hours to become fully effective and enable a better range of leg movements. A 200mg capsule lasts up to 8 hours. I also take omnoprazole I would caution people to check with their doctor before taking as it can interact with certain medicines and exacerbate some conditions i.e. Gastric ulceration. Panadol is ineffective for me.

Profile

Ibuprofen is used to relieve pain from various conditions such as headache, dental pain, menstrual cramps, muscle aches, or arthritis. It is also used to reduce fever and to relieve minor aches and pain due to the common cold or flu. Ibuprofen is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID). It works by blocking your body's production of certain natural substances that cause inflammation. This effect helps to decrease swelling, pain, or fever.
