I used to suffer from winter colds plus having long standing physical and mental health problems the colds would trigger my health problems. My doctor who I trust implicitly asked me if I would like a yearly flu injection as it would help with my mental and physical health illnesses. I took her advice and touch wood I have not had a winter cold for many years and i have not had any side effects. I would recommend every person to have this flu injection as it will help in the quality of life and save monies for the National Health as this is of great importance.

I have found out that it greatly reduces my incidence of asthma

I'm asthmatic and so my doctor writes to me every year and offers me this jab. It really does make a difference as before they started to do this, I was often filled with colds and sniffles from autumn to spring but now I am not. I realise it shouldn't make a difference but it has and I'd recommend it to other people with wheezy / weak chests.

The injection was relatively painless. The side effects i have now are : a lump in my arm that is painful to lay on or touch. I already had a chest infection and was told as long as i did not have a temperature it was alright to have the flu jab. If like me you have problems with your chest and breathing it is advisable to have the jab as it may stop you getting lots of nasty problems during the year. The side effects will not last long as previous years have proven.
