All I know is it will protect me from a very serious bout of a certain type of flue. It took about one second to do it and was not painful, so it has to be worth it.

Though having the flu jab I still got a heavy cold a couple of times but all in all I found it did help me and gave me peace of mind over the winter months though you can't stop common germs spreading which could still lead to getting a cold still thpugh I would recommend anyone to still get a flu vaccine in the flu season

My motyher, a healthy 69year old, was invited to rece ive a "safe" flu jab by her endocrinologist ... Next day after the jab she had pel vis pain, and the following day she was paralised up to her neck with excruciating pain in all her body. She had Gillian-Barre syndrome - a reaction to the flu jab. Mt mum nearly died, spent 4 months in hospital, acquired osteimielitis due to constant immobility, infection and steroids (necessary however). She will never walk again, as her spine is damaged now. She is still in danger. One flu-jab could change your life...... to a tragedy. Gillian-Barre syndrome - research this before agreeing to the jab.
