I have not had any side effects from taking Carbocisteine thankfully. I have had great benefit in managing the distressful condition of bronchiectasis. I cannot believe the difference since being prescribed this medicine and I readily recommend its use. I was unable to sleep at night as lying down caused severe coughing indeed even trying to have a conversation was impossible. There is now no impediment to either. I tell all my friends with similar symptoms to ask their doctors about Carbocisteine.
