This is an old drug and not is used very often for depression these days as there are better, more modern drugs. However Amitriptyline is also used for other conditions and in my case it was prescribed for migrainous vertigo, which is a very unpleasant condition and can.last for long periods of time. It helped me hugely and within a few months I was back to normal. Also the only side effect that I suffered was a dry mouth, which was no real problem. For me it has proved to be a wonderful drug.

Used for nerve pain (Peripheral Neuropathy) and to improve sleep. I usually take about 20.30 and go to bed around 23.00 - 00.00, I find if I take it later in the evening then I can be groggy in the morning and need to have been awake a couple of hours before feeling ok. For me the benefits far out way any side effects. In the past, I have also used this for sciatica and found it also worked well for this.

Was quite unwell when first put on these tablets, almost as soon as I started them I was feeling very much improved and I think they are excellent.
