I cannot fault my treatment and stay at the New Foscote Hospital. I stayed for 2 nights after an operation and received outstanding care and attention from the whole team - from the theatre crew, to the Doctors, nurses and carers. Some of the names I recall, Lorraine, Laura, Reeba, Cheryl - but honestly, everyone else was amazing too. A special mention for Charity, who so graciously tended to me with such kindness and good humour. She is a real treasure!
Food choices and quality were also excellent. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this hospital after having such a positive experience.
More parking would be useful
I cannot thank the Foscote Team enough for their care before and after my operation, they were excellent
I had a very distressing experience with the Foscote hospital accounts. They sent me demands for a payment, without an invoice, overcharging me by £500, at 17:56 on the night before the operation. They then refunded £500 but only after two weeks and several requests. Today, a new demand arrived for £3,524.00, which drove me to tears as I already paid everything. I made a complaint to them in writing over two weeks ago, but remained without response. On the medical side, my issue was that half of their nurse were very difficult to understand as their English was just not clear enough.
I was very well looked after during my stay there. All the staff were friendly, polite and very helpful.
Highly recommended.
The problems I had with the New Foscote fell into 2 sections. The first was during the consultations prior to my operation despite very pleasant staff on four separate occasions someone was meant too contact to move my treatment on and every time after waiting some time I had to phone and get the ball moving again otherwise it appeared that no one would have followed up.
The second and probably the most serious issue was that after the operation and on discharge they tried to give me Aspirin as a blood thinner. I queried this as I had a stroke and a pacemaker fitted on the last few years. I also showed them a letter from their Cardiologist in which he stated that because i had a heart problem. I needed to come off Cloidogrel and go on a DOAC drug thinner to reduce the risk of another Stroke. The doctor told me through the staff that Clopidogrel was a DOAC Drug and I should take them.
Fortunately I checked with the Cardiologist when I returned home got the right medication. Then I went on line and quickly found out the doctor was wrong and had sent me home with medication which put me at a higher risk of a Stroke
I had a two-sided inguinal hernia repair which was badly in need of attention. The whole experience was very good, andI can recommend this hospital to everybody. The staff were fantastic, particularly my surgeon, Dr. Riaz, who answered all my queries.
The staff were brilliant
See above. Excellent care by everyone I met.
All staff were attentive, knowledgeable and kind.
This includes medical staff, nursing staff, support workers, admin team and catering staff.
I felt safe and well cared for and could not have asked for anything else.
