I had a very positive experience with PUK. It did take me several hours to complete the forms prior to the consultations but this meant that the doctors had read a lot of information about me before meeting. I was able to choose which doctors I wanted my consultations with by reading information and reviews about them on the website and was then able to book in a suitable time. I would recommend both of the doctors I saw. Even though the consultations were online on the PUK portal, I felt really comfortable. There were a few technical issues when the portal kept freezing but the consultation time was extended to allow for this. Both doctors were really thorough, ensuring that the correct diagnosis was made and followed up with very helpful, detailed notes. I would highly recommend PUK. Initial referral to diagnosis only took a few months.

Despite the long waiting times, the responsiveness once assessed was highly effective. During my autism assessment, staff were pro-active and considered my entire cirumstances, not just my presenting reason for the assessment. I went on to be referred back to psychiatry UK for an ADHD assessment which has been lifechanging. The ability to manage medication and order deliveries via an online portal is fantastic. However, please consider another delivery provider - DPD are incredibly hit and miss. I would love it if I could track my delivery in real-time as this would reduce so many errors. This, however, does not contradict the quality of service I have received from psychiatry UK themselves and could be a conversation to be had with the Private Pharmacy Group who dispense the medication (if not collecting from a nominated pharmacy).

I had a fantastic experience with my titration nurse. She listened with genuine empathy, was always flexible, and went above and beyond to help whenever I needed support. She was absolutely brilliant throughout the entire process. I’ll admit I had low expectations after reading some negative reviews online, but she turned out to be the complete opposite — caring, professional, and incredibly effective. The medication and dosage we landed on have been truly life changing.

Highly Recommend! The process has been really smooth, which is very helpful as I am someone prone to a lot of anxiety and they didn't give me any extra reasons to have to worry. A couple times I was locked out of my portal and called customer service and they were extremely kind and helpful. I did a lot of research for both of my assessors for ADHD and ASD and they were both kind, patient, understanding female assessors that I felt in confidently in good hands with and meant I was able to be a little less nervous before my assessments because of their positive reviews.

Cant praise khalid enough. i was very nervous when we started the assessment, and right from the very start, Khalid made me feel relaxed and at ease and continued to do so for the entire assessment. It was very easy to build a good Dr/patient relationship and he was clear, kind and considerate the whole way through.

You can tell they’re absolutely under huge amounts of pressure. That’s not an unknown by anyone. However, every time I engaged with anyone at PUK they were kind, listened properly, and acted on any needs I had. The wait was long to get to titration and to assessment but not as long as it was to get a GP to take me seriously enough to even refer me in the first place and I’m not going to pass my frustration on that to this process. It took 12years to get referred. As soon as I was, I was treated brilliantly, professionally and compassionately by everyone I came into contact with. This is not an easy process and particularly as a late in life diagnosis for autism and ADHD. In a perfect world, there would be face to face experiences and probably more check ins that go beyond tick boxes - but we are where we are and that’s not the fault of front line teams. The portal is a great feature and although it was overwhelmingly admin heavy, my feedback was listened to there too. Thank you for all the work you did to get me here. I would not be in the mental health state I am without it and for that, I will be so grateful.

Once in their care, the waiting time is long but this is true everywhere, they were extremely helpful and supportive. Their systems work and titration was handled professionally yet with a very human touch. I have just completed this, and would highly recommend them.
