I consider myself extremely lucky to have been treated by Mr McDonnell and would highly recommend him. I honestly feel like he has given me my life back. An accident ,18 months ago, resulted in a multi-ligament injury to my knee. I consulted an orthopaedic surgeon, who told me he didn’t think he was best placed to repair my knee, and instead referred me on to Mr McDonnell. I shall be ever grateful for that honesty and the referral to Mr McDonnell. I couldn’t have ended up with a better surgeon. Mr McDonnell devised a staged plan of repair and rehabilitation, whilst carefully explaining the options and managing my expectations of outcomes. His skill and expertise, over the last 18 months, have resulted in me re-gaining a fully functional and stable knee with almost full range of movement. I couldn’t have asked for more.

A good listener with great empathy ! Provided very clear information on what was wrong and how we would best proceed. I also appreciated the full explanation of the risks and benefits enabling objective decision making.
