We met Professor Daubeney for the first time yesterday after travelling from Jersey. My daughter has had a really rough year, and we have seen many specialists but Professor Daubeney has been nothing short of amazing! Within 24 hours we have all the more in depth tests lined up. He's the first person to tell my daughter that there's something that can help her severe fainting episodes and get her better. To hear those words filled me with joy. Our lives have been so different this past year and to know we are being listened too and there's a light at the end of the tunnel makes us all so happy.
Professor Daubeneys secretary Sohie is simply amazing too. She's so kind, helpful and super patient. The nicest secretary I've dealt with.
If you want someone who knows his stuff then Professor Daubeney is your man. Simply amazing.

Our daughter has been under Professor Daubeney’s care for POTS, which had previously impacted her life severely. Before her treatment, she struggled with frequent fainting spells, low school attendance, and the associated challenges in both academics and social life. Professor Daubeney’s comprehensive approach, including thorough diagnostic testing and tailored medication, has been transformative. Since starting her treatment, her symptoms have vastly improved. Fainting episodes are now rare and her school attendance and academic performance have greatly improved. We are incredibly grateful for the renewed quality of life she now enjoys. As well as being very helpful in sorting a plan for my son I must comment on the amazing secretary Prof Daubeney has. I have dealt with many consultants’ secretaries over the years and Sophie is absolutely fantastic. She is easy to get hold of, really lovely to speak to on the phone and so so organised. Professor Piers Daubeney is a Consultant Paediatric Cardiologist with a national and international reputation. As a Professor of Practice at Imperial College, Prof Daubeney has a research team looking at the causes and innovative new treatments for congenital heart disease and cardiomyopathy. He has written more than 95 scientific papers and articles, 5 textbooks and been awarded several prestigious research awards.
Prof Daubeney treats a wide range of cardiological conditions in infants, children, adolescents and young adults including:
• Heart murmurs - ECG and echocardiographic evaluation
• Congenital heart disease - both paediatric and adult congenital. He uses the latest diagnostic techniques to evaluate and manage structural and functional heart problems including valve and coronary disease
• Acquired heart disease such as Kawasaki disease, myocarditis and cardiomyopathy
• Arrhythmias- investigation and management
• Generalised diseases requiring cardiac monitoring such as Marfan, Ehlers Danlos, Noonan syndromes, and muscular dystrophies
• Hypertension - investigation and management
• Cardiac surgery - joint management and close liaison with selected cardiac surgeons- expertise in all types of congenital and acquired heart surgery in babies, children, teenagers and young adults
• Catheter intervention - joint management and close liaison with selected catheter interventionalists - expertise in all types of congenital and acquired cardiac intervention in babies, children, teenagers and young adults
Prof Piers Daubeney has specialised expertise in managing symptoms suggestive of an underlying heart conditions such as:
• Chest pain
• Palpitations and tachycardia (sensation of a fluttering, fast, pounding or irregular heart beat)
• Syncope, blackouts, faints and 'funny turns', POTS

Prof Piers Daubeney also has particular expertise in managing:
• Cardiomyopathy and sudden death- at the Royal Brompton Hospital he jointly runs the Family Cardiomyopathy Service
