DR Schilders is extremely professional and investigates the problem in depth before he recommendeds an operation. Unbelievable skills are required and the professor has managed to stitch all the damage together. Pain free. Now it is physio and trekking in a few months... I am truly grateful

I had surgery with Prof schilders. I had things in theatre done that I was not made aware of prior. They were things that none of the hernia regulations/society/governing bodies recommend either. I am in chronic pain as a result. No longer able to exercise. The extent of the feedback I got from Prof schilders.. Was "it went perfect" No explanation. No suggestions. No apology. No help.

Undoubtedly eminent and experienced, but doesn't seem to be all that interested in his 'ordinary' patients. Never follows up with results of x-rays/treatments - its up to the patient to book another appointment with him - and he's always double booked. Wouldn't recommend.

I was given excellent advice and care from Prof Schilders following the complete avulsion of my hamstring tendons after a bad fall. Prof’s approach is very straightforward and he is very clear in explaining what needs to be done for the best outcome. He is without doubt one of the world’s finest surgeons dealing with many top-class athletes and footballers . The surgery was a great success with no complications and with minimal scarring. Prof is extremely easy to talk to and puts you at ease -you know you are in very safe and capable hands. I am forever grateful to Prof for his excellent skills , expertise and knowledge and can’t recommend him highly enough.
