Professor David Reid and his Personal Assistant were both very helpful in organising the necessary Dexa scan for my osteoporotic condition. Lana the Radiographer, who gave me the scan, was also extremely informative, helpful and kind. It was a pleasure to deal with and be looked after by such highly professional people who skilfully combined their professionalism with caring and humane concerns. Knowing that Professor Reid is a renowned expert in the fields of Osteoporosis and Rheumatology filled me with complete confidence. Moreover I was very impressed that he contacted me directly and took the time to speak me personally, clearly explaining the best way forward in treating my condition. I sincerely and wholeheartedly recommend Professor Reid and his team.

Superb comments and I am extremely grateful especially for the “shout-out” for my team, a sentiment with I whole heartedly agree. Thank you.

After only meeting professor Reid, after 14 years of being in limbo, I felt like I was very close to getting a answer, to what was wrong, and feeling like people just thought I was mad. I felt reassured and listened to. Would 100% recommend him.

I had seen a number of hard-pressed GPs at my surgery, who were puzzled by my symptoms and afforded no relief. Then we went privately and Professor Reid was the first really to examine my swollen knee and leg very thoroughly. He diagnosed a Baker's cyst and arranged for me for this to be drained followed by a steroid injection. However after a week my walking had become almost impossible, so we went to see Professor Reid a second time. He made the same diagnosis and said it would be swifter and cheaper if he were to perform the knee injection himself followed by increased steroid injection. The result was spectacular. I no longer needed to walk with a stick and was pain free. Professor Reid is very warm and easy to talk to. I cannot thank him enough.

I was very nervous before my appointment but Professor Reid made me feel very at ease and it was easy for me to discuss my symptoms. Having seen other doctors in the past about my issue and being left feeling rather dismissed by them, I felt that Professor Reid actually listened to me. I am feeling relieved that after years of not knowing what was wrong with me, I am finally getting to the bottom of what is causing these problems.

I first consulted Professor David Reid in July 2021, after having sustained 2 vertebrae fractures in my spine. His care has been beyond exceptional , he is a complete pleasure to deal with, as is his personal assistant. He has ensured that my bone density is now exceptional for someone of my age .He got me back running and I am actually representing my country in an International masters marathon in October this year- I am 65 years old !
