I was referred Professor Ala by my GP following discomfort on my right hand side. At my first consultation I was reassured by his manner and concern for establishing the cause of my pain.The source of the discomfort was illusive but Professor Ala was very thorough in his approach and after CT and MRI scans followed by a colonoscopy which her performed a growth was discovered in my bowel. Following this I was referred to a surgeon and the growth was removed. I am now recovering and Prof Ala's persistence at getting to the route of the issue has meant I have been given the all clear.
