Professor Wilson and his team have given outstanding care to our 13 year old son who underwent ACL reconstruction and meniscus repair. From start to finish, his calm and friendly manner was great and I would highly recommend Prof. Wilson to anyone.

Our experience with Professor Wilson has been a very positive one from start to finish. He supported our 15 year old daughter through two ACL surgeries, and she's still smiling! Professor Wilson really listened to all our concerns, and sensitively and kindly explained the best way forward to our daughter so that she felt completely safe and confident with the surgical plan. She is now 8 weeks post surgery and feeling extremely happy with her progress. We strongly recommend Professor Wilson and all his team at OS to anyone with knee concerns.

Professor Wilson carried out an ACL reconstruction on my 15 year old son in Feb 2022 following a devastating injury playing rugby. He is 10 months post op now and will be playing rugby again in 3 months time which is a hugely positive outcome for my son. Professor Wilson is a highly skilled experienced surgeon and I would have no hesitation to recommend him for this type of knee surgery. Particularly for us he had the critical knowledge and experience to deal with surgery in teenagers when they have rapidly growing limbs to ensure that surgery does not impact on their growth and development. He has a very personable manner and has built a good rapport with my son pre surgery, during his time in hospital and the numerous follow up visits and has given my son the confidence to know he will be able to play his beloved sport again.

I have been visiting the Regenerative Clinic in relation to PRP treatment for painful arthritic knees and ankle. Prof Wilson gave very clear information about the procedure and the other options and as a result I’ve opted to have three injections, which I am hoping will postpone the need for knee replacement. We reviewed my MRI scans and he treated me as an intelligent adult without dumbing things down, which I much appreciated.

I have been fortunate enough to have received the Professional help from Proffesor Adrian Wilson. After being sent to a consultant back in Feb not being able to bend my very unstable knee I was advised to just keep on with physio. After nearly 4 months of this and no improvement I asked for a second opinion, so glad I did. After seeing another consultant who was unable to help me due to the extent of damage Proffesor Adrian Wilson was highly recommend. Fast forward to today my knee now bends due to the advice and initial operation that was performed. I've been giving the rest and physio needed to gain strength and movement ready for my next op in November this year. Every appointment was professional, clear advice given which has reassured me that Adrian Wilson will get me back on track and ready for ski season. Highly recommended Mrs c wall

Profile

Globally recognised Knee and Sports Injury Specialist practicing privately in London, Berkshire and Hampshire.

Professor Wilson specialises in all aspects of soft tissue and reconstructive knee surgery and has pioneered techniques to improve treatment for sports injuries to the knee.

He has developed a number of evidence-based techniques which include new, minimally invasive procedures for knee realignment (osteotomy) and anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) repair. This includes a minimally invasive technique to treat anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injuries in children that has a fast recovery time and excellent long-term results.

Most recently, he has introduced Adipose Tissue Therapy, often used alongside other surgery, which harnesses the body’s own natural repair cells to help reduce pain and increase activity levels for patients with arthritis.

Professor Wilson regularly performs live surgery at major meetings and runs surgical training events including The Knee Osteotomy Masterclass, a two-day workshop held annually.
