I recently had cataracts removed from both eyes by Professor Paul Ursell and his team at Parkside Hospital. Professor Paul Ursell made me feel at ease at the initial consultation as he explained everything in a clear and relaxed manner, together with a booklet explaining the choice of lens implants etc. I had my left eye done first and chose a Toric lens implant as recommended to correct astigmatism. The right eye followed two weeks later with a standard distance lens implant. Both operations went extremely well and were remarkably quick and totally painless. No injections just drops and no patches after. I had clear distance vision almost immediately after and now only need glasses for reading, brilliant! I cannot thank Professor Paul Ursell enough and I have no hesitation in recommending him and his team at Parkside Hospital.

Promptly seen, diagnosed and treated cataracts. Appropriate lenses recommended and inserted during cataract procedures which were surprisingly quick and without fuss or anxiety. Good follow up and great result I now have clear vision without need for glasses after using them for the past 20 years. Prof Ursell and Parkside are both highly recommended.

Professor Ursell was fantastic throughout the whole process of my two cataract procedures. He explained everything in clear terms, went through all the options, pros and cons and was very supportive and empathetic. The procedures were really quick and easy with no pain or discomfort. I can now see again!
