I have consulted with Prof Lovat on a number of occasions. Prof Lovat is the only doctor I have felt totally at ease with due to anxiety I really struggle with meeting doctors ect. He really is such a kind man and I feel he has some understanding of this and with a great sense of humour it really does help. Just Yesterday I had a gastroscope with Prof Lovat and I must say he really did make the process much easier for me with his kind nature . He is an excellent doctor and I have already recommended others to him. Kindness goes a long way to me . Best wishes . Sarah Williams .

Whilst Professor Lovat was friendly, unfortunately I found him very dismissive of the progress I had made through naturopathic routes and also the previous diagnosis of a colleague (of suspected SIBO), for which I was hoping to speak to him about further treatment, and I was just given laxatives for being 'constipated'. That made no difference and I have subsequently under the care of a gut-specialist naturopath had much more success with actual herbal treatment for bacterial and candida overgrowth which would have gone unresolved with the laxatives.

Prof. Lovat is a proper Doctor who you don't often meet in this country. He treats you as a human being not as a sick object. He gets to the bottom of the problem and does everything needed with respect and understanding. He is highly professional gastroenterologist and very kind person.
