I am a 74 year old lady who suffers with anxiety and don’t like hospitals but I needed treatment for carpel tunnel syndrome in both hands to continue with my life, I was becoming clumsy, dropping things as my hands felt numb, constant pins and needles and deadness if my hands were raised above my elbows but and mostly I mist being able to do my hobbies of lacemaking, quilting and knitting. From my first meeting with Professor Singh he made me feel at ease. He was reassuring and recommended I go for the operation procedure as opposed to steroid injections, although the final choice was mine. He explained everything carefully. Professor Singh is a very pleasant cheerful surgeon, I love his slippers that he wears around the hospital and staff talk of him greatly too. Appointments with the Professor are on time and he does not keep you waiting. I’ll really recommend him to my friends should they need his specialist surgery and also Kims Hospital where I my operations were undertaken. I had a very good experience. I saw the Professor today for a follow up appointment when I had a couple of queries from his letters to my doctor which he explained so clearly to me and then discharged me. Thank you Professor Singh it was a pleasure to meet you, and as a referred NHS patient to a private hospital I was treated with respect and was not made to feel inferior by you or any of the hospital staff.

Response from Prof. Bijayendra Singh

Thank you for your feedback. Being a private or NHS patient makes no difference to me as to how I treat patients or indeed the options discussed. The only difference is logistical which is not under my control.

Very caring surgeon, explained the proceedure in a language that i could understand. I felt comfortable and well prepared for the operation. The follow up appointment after the operation was very well presented with any explaination on what surgery was done and why, I was also given photoes of before and after the surgery, so i could see what had been done. I would highly recommend Prof. Bijayendra Singh and Kims Hospital to anyone that needed surgery.

Mr Singh has performed keyhole surgery and subsequently a full joint replacement of my right shoulder. He has a calm, reassuring manner and is clearly very knowledgeable on his subject matter. Every time I have seen him, it has been conducted in the manner of a sensible conversation with him listening to my queries and explaining everything to my satisfaction. Clearly I hope not to have to do so, but i would be happy to let him operate on me again!

Very happy with the care I have received from Professor Singh. He has always been approachable, friendly and very professional. He has taken time to address all my concerns and questions, leaving me feeling confident in his care. I have had a total shoulder replacement recently and will be returning again for a second shoulder replacement. I would have no hesitation in recommending Professor Singh if you are undergoing surgery in his care.
