I first met Prof Bijayendra Singh in November 2021 at Kims hospital and within minutes he concluded that I needed a reverse shoulder replacement. In early January 2022 I had the operation followed by physiotherapy and several follow visits. My last visit to see Prof Singh was on 27th July 2022 when he said he was pleased with my recovery and not to hesitate to call if I had any concerns. This was very reassuring and I would not hesitate to recommend Prof Bijayendra Singh to anyone suffering with upper limb orthopedic conditions.

I have had the most amazing care from Professor Singh. Having performed surgery for my Dupuytrens contracture. He listened to how I felt and advised me on my concerns. I couldn’t have asked for a better surgeon. I loved the crocs by the way, always made me smile

I have been suffering with pins and needles in my fingers and a lot of pain up my arms for the past two years. My first chance to get this sorted I was given the option of having the operation at Kim’s Hospital. Professor Singh very quickly recognised I needed to be treated quickly. He arranged my operation dates and carried the treatment in a very professional manner. I am very happy with the contact of all persons I met at Kim’s and a very big thank you to Professor Singh. Really happy with all the care and advice given. He explained the procedure clearly and gave the opportunity to ask questions. Whole process from initial consult to surgery was very quick and excellent follow up aftercare (physiotherapy appointments and advice, and follow up surgical review appointment). Only criticism (not of Prof. Singh) was that the discharge information given after surgery could have been clearer - the forms were given regarding changing dressings but the boxes were not ticked to indicate when this should happen so I needed to phone for advice. Also, not enough spare dressings provided so I had to collect more and buy additional from another source.

Professor Singh, is a credit to not just Medway Maritime Hospital, but to his profession. He always listens to you and talks to you on a personal level that is reassuring and puts you at ease. He is a very gifted surgeon and always thinks of his patients first. I am so thankful for all that he has done for me.
