I just wanted to say a big thank you to Jihene EL KAFSI and her team and the team at Wrexham hospital who cared for me on 6th Sept 2023. From the moment i entered at 7am until i left at around 9pm, every nurse, doctor & consultant etc who i dealt with were friendly, welcoming, informative, caring & extremely attentive. Overall service was as fantastic and i feel its really important that they all know how great they were. I was waiting for a looong time but they were all so busy and hard working running around and yet all managed to stop by and check i was ok. A big thank you to El Kafsi, i wish i could just pay for El Kafsi to be my personal Dr whenever i need her as she knows her stuff! And lastly i really need to mention the nurse who cared for me in the first recovery room, I didn’t catch her name but she told me shes from St. Lucia and worked a little bit in Trinidad (If i have got that wrong please blame the meds) i was having a really bad time coming round from the general anaesthetic (scared me a bit to be honest) but she really cared for me, helping as much as she could to stop the sickness, eased my worries, made me as relaxed as I could be, listened to me and made what was an awful situation as good as it could be. Her care for me was outstanding and id really like her to be recognised for this. Once again, thank you all so much.

Jihene was part of my surgery team and after care of my surgery May 2018, in Auckland, New Zealand. I found her to be so helpful, understanding, and compassionate. She explained everything fully and made herself available to me outside appointment times. Even when things were not going well for me afterwards, she was there in hospital every day checking up on me. Thank you!!

I am tremendously privileged to have had Dr El Kafsi be a major part of the team who looked after me when I was at Auckland City Hospital, Auckland, New Zealand. She performed all 4 of my surgeries and was my first (and preferred) point of call in my recovery process while in hospital, which was lengthy. Dr El Kafsi truly cares, is approachable and goes above and beyond for her patients; she came to see me on her days off after I had suffered some setbacks in my recovery and was amazingly reassuring. She also made herself available to talk to my family outside of "normal hours". I have found her to be extremely knowledgeable, honest and she has the ability to explain complex diagnosis or upcoming procedures simply and without alarming you if there are potential risks. Combine this with her reassuring manner and not only did I feel safe in her care, my family and I was able to be guided to make the best decisions for my health. Dr El Kafsi is what you want and need in a doctor caring for you, and I truly appreciate everything she did for me at a time when I was disheartened and felt particularly vulnerable.

Dr El Kafsi performed three life-saving operations on me at UCLH. Her knowledge, skills and expertise were remarkable and her professional approach, which was patient-centred, gave me reassurance and peace of mind. Dr El Kafsi went above and beyond the call of duty; she is approachable, caring, and a good listener. During the time I have been her patient, I have been made to feel not only just 'another medical case', perhaps one of many, but a human being. Dr El Kafsi has always been prompt to address any issues, she monitored my progress closely and liaised with other medical teams effectively. She keeps me informed about my condition regularly, providing clear explanations and answering all my concerns in no time. I am very privileged to be under the care of Dr El Kafsi (and of an exceptional team of other professionals at UCLH), who has been truly exceptional in her job. Professionals of the calibre of Dr El Kafsi are a real asset and give both the hospital and the NHS a very good name!
