This doctor left the patient in tears after presenting a difficult situation in the most dire manner possible. This was especially so when she flatly stated that there were no alternative viable solutions to what she was recommending for the patient, when asked whether a couple of other options were viable.
It is very sad to hear that I upset a patient. I am sorry that I felt there were no other options to offer.
After poor treatment at Roding Hospital I was referred to Queens and Mrs Hawkins. I was greatful for attempts to prevent operation by the use of different pessaries. In the end they failed and had to have rectelle prolaspse op. I was explained clearly the risks and success rate of this type of op. Given pictorial form of procedure of op. Two days only I spent in Cornflower B ward at Queens. I was given first class care and nothing was too much trouble for staff , I panick about clots I had and returned on 25th Sept 4 days after op. Brilliant attention and after being checked was fully reassured and went home. Follow up appointment and time was on schedule 28th Nov. pleased that everything was healing well. First class treatment in this dept of gyna Lois Mackie
I have seen mrs hawkins twice at Queens Hospital and was very impressed with her knowledge and professional manner. Explains things and listens to what you have to say about your medical problems. Trust her and her experienced knowledge. have complete confidence in her. There is no rush and you take your time when being listen to and examined even when she has a heavy work load and there are other people waiting - you never feel that you do not matter and you will be rushed.
