I have met Mrs Craig twice (at the Spire Hospital in Manchester) and both times I have felt that she is a wonderful consultant and very experienced and dedicated in her field of work. I have been struggling to find the root cause/treat the recurrent issues that developed due to an incision and drainage of a perianal abscess for over 1 and a half years. I felt unheard as, the cause of my problem wasn't being found and had left many other consultants with their heads scratching. Mrs Craig from the onset made me feel at ease and made sure all of my concerns were dealt with, that too quickly. She understood my circumstances and found the cause of my issues. Her team are so professional and highly knowledgeable and contacting them was so easy, they dealt with my requests within a timely manner and responded quickly too. She found the cause of my issue through a thorough investigation with an MRI scan and finally knowing makes me feel relieved. Mrs Craig is an exceptional doctor, attentive and caring. Thank you so much.

It’s taken me years to seek help because I’ve been too embarrassed. I was delighted to find a female doctor who completely put me at ease. I have complete confidence in Mrs Craig.

I had an appointment today with Christine Craig, from the onset she was warm and down to earth, she listened and I felt understood, Christine also had a great ability to empathise with me and I felt she really got it!! She also had a great sense humour, this took away a lot of the embarrassment I felt around the issues I have been struggling with. I would highly recommend her, a truly lovely lady and a true professional.

I have experienced faecal incontinence for a long time but it has got much worse ( and more embarrassing ) over the last couple of years. Life has to be planned around being within a couple of minutes from the nearest loo . I was advised by my GP that waiting lists to see a specialist under NHS are over 18 months so decided to pay to see a consultant. When I looked for a local consultant, I was astonished and delighted to see a woman Colorectal specialist. I had a previous bad experience with a male doctor who was both arrogant, patronising and quite rough in examining me. Mrs Craig's website was encouraging and friendly and meeting her was a pleasure. She listened to me and made it easy to discuss my problem, rather than embarrassing. She was clear and reassuring about what the issues are, how she could help me and how I can help myself . She also has warmth and a sense of humour.

Mrs, Craig, took care off me really well and fixed my anal fistula which was really bothersome and painful. I had been to see another specialist previously, who told me that there's not much he can do for me. However, when I went to see Mrs Craig, she explained it detail, exactly how my fistula could be fixed using a seton that will need to be changed every 6 months or so, until it comes out. That it would take time and effort on my part too, but definitely worth while. This lady is a fabulous Surgeon who knows her stuff, is a real specialist in her field, is perfectly approachable and will take great care of her patients as she did for me.
