I had been waiting for two years for a VNUS procedure under general anaesthetic. My primary reason for general anaesthetic being that I get myself mentally worked up about what’s going to happen and anxiety takes over to the level of nearly fainting. Due to COVID I was told that general anaesthetic was an option that would leave me waiting for an uncertain amount of time. My consultant surgeon Mr Zola Mzimba assured me that local anaesthetic was all that was necessary and that I would hardly feel anything and be well looked after. Had the procedure done in less that 45 minutes and was back in work in two days. I highly recommend this procedure and many thanks to Mr Mzimba and the great team of nurses in omagh day procedure. I have just finished treatment with Mr Zola Mzimba today and from my 1st consultation through surgery I foung him very pleasent, makes you feel at ease by explaining your treatment in great detail and making sure you are comfortable during,I would have no hesitation to have treatment with him again if needed, I could not really suggest anything to make his work any better or the hospital which made me very comfortable with great staff all round.
