Review

I was referred to Mr Harb by my pain consultant, as I had recurring ankle pain in addition to my neck pain which he was treating at that time. I was very reluctant to opt for any surgical solutions, having had three previous ankle surgeries over the years, with different surgeons, with two having been very unsuccessful. Mr Harb listened to my concerns and proceeded with a steroid injection, which gave him enough diagnostic information to help me to move forward. He is able to really listen and discuss options and explain everything clearly. I am now nine weeks post op and can already walk at home and garden pain free. I am looking forward to completing my physio and rebuilding strength to get back to being physically active. This is really life changing. Thank you again MR Harb.

Mr Harb has listened to me, been kind and caring. He allowed me to have successful surgery on my foot. This has made a huge difference to my mobility and pain levels. I am about to book my first 100km walking pilgrimage! Something I could not have dreamed of before the surgery. Thank you Mr Harb and the NHS for this privilege and gift!

The recommended course of action from Mr Harb was to proceed with a PRP injection before considering surgery. One of the key benefits of this approach was that it required only sedation rather than a general anaesthetic, allowing for a quicker physical and psychological recovery, as well as reducing overall risk. I was able to walk out of the hospital on the same day, experiencing only mild stiffness. This stiffness subsided after approximately a week and was not debilitating, allowing me to resume normal daily activities. Alongside a structured rehabilitation programme, which I followed closely, I noticed a clear and positive improvement in my Achilles. Due to the progress made, Mr Harb agreed to proceed with a second PRP injection to assess whether further improvement could be achieved. I am pleased to say that this has led to additional positive progress. My goal was to regain at least 80% function in my Achilles, and I am well on course to achieving this. Based on my experience, I believe PRP injections are well worth considering as a potential alternative to surgery. My overall experience has been extremely positive. I would like to extend a huge thank you to Mr Harb and his team for the excellent care I received. Mr Harb made me feel at ease throughout and provided clear, sensible, and detailed options to support my recovery.

I struggled with severe plantar fasciitis for eight months, to the point where I was often on crutches in the mornings and in constant pain throughout the day. Months of physiotherapy and shockwave treatment didn’t help, and the impact on my life was huge. With 7‑year‑old twins, I felt like I was missing out on so much. This all followed two years of treatment for breast cancer, so it was devastating to feel my world shrink again because of my feet. When I saw Dr Harb, he took the time to explain every treatment option clearly and respectfully. Because the pain had been so intense, I asked if I could be sedated for the steroid injections, and he was completely supportive of that preference. I felt listened to and genuinely cared for. I’m so pleased with the outcome. I know only time will tell how long the benefit lasts, but I was astonished to have a complete response in both feet. For the first time in months, I’ve been able to enjoy a pain‑free holiday with my family and even dance all night at my husband’s 40th birthday - something I truly didn’t think would be possible. Being able to take part in life again has meant more to me than I can say. I’m incredibly grateful for the care I received and the difference it has made. Thank you!

Referred by my GP for an ankle issue and immediately felt Mr Harb was listening to my concerns, an examination followed and options given to me with his expert advice. I agreed with his conservative approach to start the process and then moved along to eventually deciding on surgery, all this within a short time. Every step of the way I felt I had professional support and was extremely happy with the care given to me. Mr Harb is an approachable, courteous, professional Surgeon and one I would highly recommend. I found nothing of note to improve the care and help that I had.

Excellent care received throughout. Mr Harb always took time to explain matters and answered all questions very clearly and emphatically - a great “bedside manner”! Mr Harb’s secretary, Sue, was also a pleasure to deal with. I would happily recommend to others.

Whilst initial surgery in April 2024 required total revision Mr Harb organised this for June 2025. Sadly I am still waiting for my 6 week follow up appointment with him and it is now 10 weeks since my surgery. As i had concerns I was seen by another Consultant on 19th August and required further antibiotics and the wound redressed. I am hoping to see Mr Harb but as yet have not got an appointment.

I first met Mr Harb after my knee replacement I was having a lot of pain in my foot. I elected to see Mr Harb to try to get to the bottom of my pain. Mr Harb sent me for an MRI which detected a break in my 2nd Metatarsal. Also the MRI showed a broken pin in my toe from previous surgery that I had many years ago. Mr Harb was happy to remove the pin for me. The care I received was first class and the scar has almost disappeared. I found Mr Harb was always very respectful professional and understanding in his consultations with me. Thank you Mr Harb I'm incredible grateful for your expertise .How lucky we are to have you in our NHS. I would highly recommend you.

I had foot surgery with Mr. Harb in February to remove two Morton’s neuromas, and I couldn’t be happier with the outcome. From the initial consultation to post-operative care, Mr. Harb was professional, reassuring, and highly knowledgeable. Before the surgery, I was in constant pain and struggled to walk any distance comfortably. Just a few months later, I’m thrilled to say I can now go on long walks completely pain-free. The difference this has made in my quality of life is incredible. I’m extremely grateful for Mr. Harb’s expertise and care, and I highly recommend him to anyone considering foot surgery.

I saw Mr Harb after having previously unsuccessful treatment for a ruptured achilles tendon. Mr Harb clearly explained all my options to me including the possible outcomes and risks, and was supportive of my choice of reconstructive surgery. He was reassuring throughout the whole process and I can't begin to explain how much of a difference the surgery has made to me. My only complaint was that the scar is too neat! No "war wounds" to show for the trauma of a ruptured achilles! He's been supportive post surgery, recommending an excellent physiotherapist and 5 months post-op, I couldn't be happier with the outcome. He's an excellent surgeon and I had complete faith in him throughout the whole process.
