I was admitted to St. Thomas' Hospital under the care of Mr Shah because I had ruptured my left Quadriceps. A serious, disabling and painful injury. The surgical repair was carried out by one of Mr Shah's team. Mr Shah came to see me the day after the operation and my recovery was immediately enhanced because his pleasant, calm, confident, and kind manner gave me a real lift. I have since seen him for a review and he has enhanced my recovery by assessing me and my injury as an individual and varying the recovery regime to better suit my recovery, i am due to see him again in a few days and look forward to a full recovery even at my age (70) under his guidance. Mr Shah just inspires my full confidence, he is patient, kind and considerate and really listens to his patient. He clearly loves people and his work.

From my initial consultation right through to the post operation check ups and beyond, Mr Shah and his excellent PA have been amazing. I have always had really prompt responses to any questions I had following the operation and my discharge. But most importantly, I liked Mr Shah immediately and felt completely reassured by him - so very much in safe hands. Everything about the procedure was explained to me in advance (I was tempted not to listen to the detail!) and the care I received was exceptional. He's also extremely motivating and because of this I was spurred on to do all my exercises post op and made a really swift recovery. And having the operation has allowed me to fulfil my dream of setting up my own business working with and caring for dogs. He has my eternal gratitude! (My 90 year old mother visited me in hospital and thought he was 'marvellous' too!
