The empathy Mr Shah showed towards my 85 year old mum was amazing. To try and cut a long story short, my mother was a healthy hill walker but fell on unlit steps in 2018. Broke her hip and had her hip pinned by a different surgeon local to us as this was supposedly the best for her to get back on her feet quicker. 4 years later her pain was unbearable and after someone finally listened she was xrayed and it was found that the screws were protruding into her soft tissue and muscle. We were told she was being discharged and that a hip replacement wouldn't be of any use and to just manage the pain. I researched online as mum didn't want to live anymore. I found Mr Shah, the reviews spoke for themselves. After contacting Mr Shah's secretary, we went from lancashire to London, saw Mr Shah and he put mum straight on the emergency list for a hip replacement. Mum had a new hip in May 2022 and she's been back to London twice now for reviews and back again in May. Mr Shah treats you more like family than a patient. His team are second to none and have given my mum her life back. She still has a way to go but she herself has told Mr Shah that he has saved her life. It was a complicated and long operation as it wasn't just a straightforward hip replacement it was corrective to. We are so so grateful for the compassion that was shown from Mr Shah and his team from his secretary and appointment maker to the catering staff and physios. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Mr Shah and we look forward to seeing him again for mums 12 month review. Many thanks from Christine Rigby and family x
