My experience with Mr Naqui was outstanding from the minute of me walking into my consultation, (a nervous wreck), through to having the procedure (carpal tunnel decompression) performed. He is one of the most approachable, caring, understanding and informative doctors I have seen and over the years I have seen many. He went through my medical history and advised I needed this procedure (on the left to start). I am absolutely petrified of needles/injections but he was so reassuring and calming that I agreed to go ahead. He went through the process of the procedure thoroughly and explained in such a way that I was able to understand. I went back to Salford to have the procedure undertaken and again I cannot praise him enough. He was amazing throughout. He talked me through each step of the procedure so I knew what was coming. He spoke to me throughout the procedure about general day to day subjects, just to keep my mind occupied and away from him actually operating on me. I put my whole trust in him and I was thankful I went ahead! He was incredible throughout. I am still in the healing process but my symptoms feel much better than they did prior to the procedure being undertaken and that is all down Mr Naqui, initially making me feel at ease and comfortable enough to proceed with the procedure, and for him to carry out the procedure in such a calming yet professional manner! I would 10000% recommend Mr Naqui.

RE: Thumb Joint replacement. Over the last several years, I have suffered with arthritis of my left thumb which gradually got worse leading to discomfort and an inconvenience with my work as an engineer and with everyday duties. I had a childhood injury with a glass window where I cut through the tendons for my left thumb when I was 14 years old and have struggled with movement ever since. I had several cortisone injections over the last four years to ease the pain, but this eventually got to the point where I struggled to pinch my thumb and finger together and developed an odd lump in my wrist. I was referred to Mr. Naqui, who had many recommendations. From the outset, Mr. Naqui and Ms. Clark was incredibly helpful and accommodating. The surgery itself went very smoothly. Mr. Naqui and the team at The Alexandra were fantastic and quickly eased my apprehension. After the procedure I experienced no pain and minimal discomfort. I was amazed when I stopped taking the pain killers 3 days after surgery, especially after hearing the horror stories from work collogues who had the same condition but had the bone removed with months of pain. I had the operation in April , 2023, and now 12 months on I still cannot believe the results. The surgery was a real life-changing experience for me. It gave me back the movement and flexibility I was lacking, I have more movement now than I have had for the last 20 years. I can't thank Mr. Naqui and his team enough. I would totally recommend his services and have complete trust in his skill and expertise.
