I was seen by Mr Naqui regarding severe arthritis pain in my left hand thumb earlier this year. Mr Naqui discussed the various options with regard to treating the problem and was able to advise on a website that I could read. It was decided that I would have an x-ray guided steroid injection procedure. This was performed in April 2018. Obviously I was a little anxious but the procedure was quick and only slightly uncomfortable whilst the needle was inserted. The whole experience was made so much easier by the relaxed and friendly consultant and his support team. Follow up appointment in three months and I was able to report that I was pain free.
