Dr Mahmood looked after me in Pendle Community Hospital following my stroke. I was, and still am, very impressed with his skill and professionalism. Unfortunately, during my stay, I developed DVT in the leg that had been paralysed by the stroke. I immediately thought this would have a bad outcome, but Dr Mahmood took it in his stride and sorted everything out. I shall be eternally grateful to him, and I can now walk short distances with a support. This is still improving slowly. Finally, Dr Mahmood has a tremendous bedside manner. He is quite simply the most polite doctor I have ever met. I would recommend him to anyone without reservation.
