Mr Yogesh Joshi is a trauma and orthopaedic consultant at Wrexham Maelor hospital since 2016. He specialises in all aspects of knee surgery. Mr Joshi, you don't meet many consultants like this genuine caring person. Mr. Joshi and his excellent team, from the minute I arrived in their capable caring hands, I was assured, they would go that extra mile to ensure my experience was a positive one. The first time I met Mr. Joshi, was indeed an eye opener, unlike any other surgeon I had ever met. His calming and caring mannerism, his professional attitude towards every patient is exemplary. He treats every patient equally, with the utmost respect and ensures they are put at ease. He exceeds all that is expected from him. In addition to the above, I must add, The NHS is indeed so very fortunate to have such a exceptional man working for them. Everyone you speak to ,speaks so very highly of him. I firmly believe, the Lord leaves angels down hear to help us in our time of need, Mr. Joshie and his amazing team are unique special people, maybe they don’t have wings, but they certainly deserve the label of angels. Could these comments be passed on to those concerned please. and a personal thank you to the team for allowing me to wear my cross, which had been around my neck for over fifty years, since losing my baby girl.

Mr Joshi is a kind and caring surgeon, he carried out the arthrosamid injection procedure on my right knee at The Spire Wrexham. He explained everything in detail before and during the procedure and was most considerate.

Mr Joshi provided me with all the guidance I needed to make an informed choice. The options and consequences were set out clearly and every effort was made to ensure that the choice I made was the right one for me. In addition the post operative care and support from the nursing staff and physiotherapists was excellent. My sincere thanks to everyone that supported me through my operation.

Mr Joshi and his team performed a compartmental knee replacement on my right knee. This operation has completely transformed my whole quality of life. Before the operation, my days and nights, were affected by the joints pain and discomfort. Painkillers were the daily norm. Now whilst I understand that I will never have the knee I was born with, this replacement is far superior to the one that mine had deteriorated into.

Mr Joshi has been excellent with my son and our family, he has explained the whole process of his operation and after care so my son could understand it. He explained all the options pro's and con's so we were fully aware of our options. He is caring and understanding and it made the whole process a lot easier. Thank you Mr Joshi.

Mr Joshi did my knee replacement in July and I have to say the care I received was second to none. Mr Joshi explained everything the operation entailed and put me at ease straightaway. I wouldn’t think twice about having any more treatment with him I would do so straightaway. He is a lovely, caring man and his whole team reflects this also. My whole experience and care was excellent from start to finish, and I am so grateful he did my surgery.

I had a right HTO (osteotomy) performed by Mr Joshi on the 06/03/2019. After numerous operations over the years removing bits of cartlige and meniscus it was decided i would have the above procedure. I had never heard of an osteotomy before but Mr Joshi put me at ease and explained everything. I really felt i was in good hands. Due to the covid restrictions i received a telephone consultation off Mr Joshi whilst i was in the gym doing leg strengthening exercises. I am nearly two years post surgery and the operation has certainly improved my ability to keep up with kids when we are out and about. I highly recommend Mr Joshi. Many Thanks. Barry Lewis

I had a partial knee replacement performed by Mr Joshi for my arthritic knee. The procedure was explained to me in great detail beforehand and Mr Joshi listened to my worries and concerns carefully. I found him to be a very caring and considerate surgeon and I am very grateful for the care and thought he put into making my procedure as minimally invasive as possible.

I had knee replacement under the care of Mr Joshi.Very sucessful operation and after a long wait to get this procedure I am delighted to be pain free.Mr Joshi is a very caring consultant being easy to talk to and has a caring and calming attitude to patients. He explains the procedure in detail putting patients at ease and fully aware of what they can expect. After my operation Mr Joshi ensured that I was comfortable and I was most impressed with his aftercare. All in all my stay in hospital was most satisfactory and now thanks to Mr Joshi my mobility is much improved.I have spoken to many of Mr Joshi's patients and we all agree what a caring, approchable consultant he is and the hospital are very fortunate to employ him.The only downside to the hospital itself is tge extremely long waiting lists especialy for orthopeadics so if something could be done to reduce waiting lists at the Maelor hospital that would be most welcome to patients.
